We are a Community Interest Company based in the West Midlands. We design and deliver
practical training programmes that help women develop the confidence and commercial
skills needed to enter employment, progress in their careers or start and grow their own
businesses.
Too many women have the potential to succeed but not the tools, skills or confidence to get
there. At Twenty7Forty, we believe that confidence is not a personality trait — it is a skill that
can be taught, practised and built.
Our approach connects personal development with real-world employability. We do not just
build confidence in a room. We build the skills that create lasting economic change.
I did not set out to build a training organisation.
I discovered sales during a period of my life when I needed to rebuild. As a single mother of
six, I understood the realities of financial pressure, limited opportunities and the challenge of
creating a stable future. What I found was a profession that rewarded resilience,
communication and determination more than background, qualifications or circumstance.
Sales became the skill that transformed my career.
Over the next 14 years, I built a successful career across multiple industries, consistently
achieving top-performing results in both business-to-consumer and business-to-business
environments.
Along the way, I noticed something important. Many women — particularly those from
disadvantaged, marginalised or underrepresented backgrounds — possessed the qualities
needed to succeed but lacked the confidence, skills and awareness of the opportunities
available to them. Others faced barriers including unemployment, caring responsibilities,
career breaks, domestic abuse, financial hardship or limited access to professional
networks.
The issue was never a lack of potential. The issue was a lack of access, training and
opportunity.
That is why I founded Twenty7Forty.
We use confidence-building, communication training and practical sales skills as the vehicle
to help women move into employment, increase their income and build businesses on their
own terms.
Because when a woman gains the confidence to communicate her value, she gains more
than a professional skill. She gains economic independence, greater choice and the ability to
create lasting change for herself, her family and her community.
